ENDURANCE ICONS

Endurance Icons showcases the best of a stunning era of long-distance racing (1994-2015), celebrating a period of irresistible growth for sportscar racing that culminated in the rebirth of the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2015.

International racing of the period welcomed breathtaking prototypes and truly mighty GT cars, with a multi-class racing formula renowned for variety and stunning racing. Endurance Icons offers a new home for that racing in a historic context.

Distinct classes, reflecting the original structure but tweaked for a historic context, will offer level competition for different specifications of prototype from Le Mans-style racing, as well as the stunning variety of GT racers from the halcyon days of the FIA GT Championship. GT cars, sports racing cars and prototypes from 1994-2015 will be welcome. Hybrid cars will not be eligible, while selected later cars will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Endurance Icons will debut at the BRDC Classic, 24th-26th July, on the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, a perfect venue for these cars to demonstrate their performance. Few spectacles can match the sight of a high-downforce prototype attacking the Maggotts, Becketts and Chapel complex.
