Motor Racing Legends Appoints Rob Huff as Touring Car Ambassador

The 2012 World Touring Car Champion will work with the team to strengthen and grow Motor Racing Legends’ three touring car series, the Historic Touring Car Challenge (HTCC), Tony Dron Trophy, and U2TC.

A true icon of the touring car world, Huff brings a wealth of experience and international success to the role. His career highlights include winning the FIA World Touring Car Championship in 2012, 11 victories on the streets of Macau – a record in the prestigious Guia Race – as well as being a multiple race winner in the British Touring Car Championship and a two-time BRDC Gold Star recipient. Huff has also driven for leading manufacturers, including a long tenure as a factory driver for Chevrolet, and later with Audi and Volkswagen.

“It’s an honour to be involved with Motor Racing Legends and to represent such fantastic historic racing series,” enthused Huff, who begins his role immediately. “Historic touring car racing has so much character and passion. I’m excited to support the competitors and help grow these wonderful series.”

As Touring Car Ambassador, Rob will be actively engaging with current competitors across Motor Racing Legends’ touring car grids and is equally enthusiastic about speaking with new drivers considering joining the series. His passion for touring car racing, both modern and historic, makes him the perfect figurehead. He’s also a regular racer in the Motor Racing Legends paddock, most recently in a Jaguar E-Type at Donington Historic Festival.
