To join motor racing legends in 2026
Hot on the heels of the announcement that GP Icons will join in 2026, Motor Racing Legends unveils a second brand-new grid for next year: endurance Icons.
The new grid showcases the best of a stunning period of long-distance racing, celebrating a period of irresistible growth for sportscar racing that culminated in the rebirth of the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2012. International racing of the period welcomed breathtaking prototypes and truly mighty GT cars, with a multi-class racing formula renowned for variety and stunning racing. Endurance Icons offers a new home for that racing in a historic context.
Distinct classes, reflecting the original structure but tweaked for a historic context, will offer level competition for different specifications of prototype from Le Mans-style racing, as well as the stunning variety of GT racers from the halcyon days of the FIA GT Championship. GT cars, sports racing cars and prototypes from 1995-2012 will be welcome. Hybrid cars will not be eligible, while selected later cars will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
The launch reflects Motor Racing Legends’ ongoing commitment to providing owners opportunities to race their cars in a professional, well-organised and welcoming environment. The focus, as ever, remains on respect for machinery, and racing that honours each car’s unique story.
Endurance Icons will debut at the BRDC Classic, 24th-26th July 2026, on the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, a perfect venue for these cars to demonstrate their performance. Few spectacles can match the sight of a high-downforce prototype attacking the Maggotts, Becketts and Chapel complex.
