Seven Motor Racing Legends grids, three HRDC grids and two stellar single-seater organisations will entertain the crowds across three days.

Motor Racing Legends and Donington Park are pleased to reveal the event timetable for the Donington Historic Festival, 1st-3rd May. For the 2026 edition, the racing will take place once again on the National Circuit.

It is set to be another stellar year for the Motor Racing Legends event, the prestige historic offering at Donington Park. With 18 races across three days, spanning 10 decades of history and more than 100 entries already, there will be something for everyone.

Car Owners to the Fore

On Friday, HMRN Pre ’63 GT sees its first-ever owners-only race. This initiative, mirrored by Friday evening’s GT3 Legends qualifying session, gives car owners the chance to shine in their pride and joy. For Pre ’63, co-drivers are allowed for Saturday afternoon’s second race, while both GT3 Legends races are two-driver affairs, with owners setting the grid for Sunday’s race.

All this racing will take place on the Donington Park National Circuit, with the shorter layout offering spectators more laps with their favourite cars and drivers less stress on vintage brakes, whilst still presenting excellent opportunities for overtaking. 

Beyond the racing, there will of course be plenty to catch the eye. Supercar Driver will present a stunning hypercar selection on Friday, with its members switching focus to Porsches on Saturday. Each will be a memorable spectacle. After a hugely successful run in 2025, Formula One machinery returns with high-speed demos on Saturday and Sunday, whilst the vast array of car clubs will parade every lunch time.

Motor Racing Legends’ top-quality hospitality will be in attendance throughout the festival, with parties set for both Friday and Saturday night as well as the usual drinks, breakfast and lunch offerings.
