\u00ab 49 FXN \u00bb est l\u2019une des Jaguar les plus importantes jamais construites. Il s\u2019agit de l\u2019un des 12 exemplaires de Type-E Lightweight produits par l\u2019usine, et l\u2019un des deux \u00e9quip\u00e9s d\u2019une carrosserie \u00e0 faible tra\u00een\u00e9e a\u00e9rodynamique. La voiture a disput\u00e9 les plus grandes courses de Grand Tourisme internationales en 1964, notamment les 1 000 km du N\u00fcrburgring, les 24 Heures du Mans ou encore le Tourist Trophy de Goodwood, o\u00f9 elle affrontait les Ferrari 250 GTO et les Shelby Daytona Coup\u00e9. Dans la ligne droite des Hunaudi\u00e8res, elle pouvait atteindre les 280 km\/h.<\/p>\n

Disposant d\u2019une conduite \u00e0 gauche, cette Renault 21 Turbo Phase 1 de 1986 a \u00e9t\u00e9 construite dans les ateliers d\u2019Alpine \u00e0 Dieppe. Elle fut initialement livr\u00e9e \u00e0 Renault Pays-Bas pour Michael Bleekemolen, ancien pilote de Formule 1 et de Formule 3, qui l\u2019avait engag\u00e9e avec succ\u00e8s dans son championnat national de voitures de tourisme en 1988 et 1989. Son sponsor principal, le magazine controvers\u00e9 Penthouse, lui vaut sa livr\u00e9e noire et violette originale. Apr\u00e8s sa carri\u00e8re batave, la voiture fut import\u00e9e au Royaume-Uni par GB Motorsport et Renault UK, o\u00f9 elle fut pr\u00e9par\u00e9e pour les courses d\u2019endurance \u00ab Willhire 24 Hours \u00bb. Les spectateurs pourront comparer les deux styles de carrosserie produits par la marque : la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre \u00ab Knobbly \u00bb, dont les formes \u00e9pousent les composants m\u00e9caniques, et les versions \u00ab Costin \u00bb, d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es sous la direction de l\u2019a\u00e9rodynamicien Frank Costin afin d\u2019am\u00e9liorer les performances en ligne droite.
