A Jewel in the Crown of French Motorsport

MRL joins forces for the first time with the Dijon Motors Cup, an event organised by HVM Racing that brings together top historic grids from across Europe.

A true crossroads of French culture and gastronomy, Dijon is also renowned for its circuit, which hosted seven Formula 1 Grands Prix. It was here that Renault’s V6 turbo engine secured its first victory in 1979, followed by Alain Prost’s maiden F1 win in 1981.

The 3.8 km track presents a serious challenge for drivers, with features like the blind Bretelle corner, the uphill Parabolique hairpin, and the fast, never-ending Pouas curve. For spectators, the natural amphitheatre known as ‘la cuvette’ offers stadium-style viewing just metres from the paddock.

Following a recent renovation, the paddock and pit building now provide top-tier, modern facilities. The surface has been completely repaved, yet the layout remains untouched since the last Grand Prix held in 1984.
